The price is per night and per apartment, based on maximum occupancy. It includes the breakfast buffet, indoor pool and sauna area, heated ski room, garage parking for all vehicles, high-speed Wi-Fi, bathrobes, bed linen and towels.

Of course. The Glöcknerin is a hotel, not a self-catering flat: bed linen, towels and bathrobes are ready for you when you arrive, and daily housekeeping is included too. So there's no need to pack any of it.

Check-in is from 4 pm, and check-out is by 10 am.

Your booking is confirmed once you receive our reservation confirmation. A deposit of €700 per apartment is then due within 14 days, by bank transfer or credit card. You'll find the payment details in your confirmation.

Cancellations are only valid in writing. Cancelling more than three months before arrival is free of charge. Between three months and one month before arrival, we charge 40%, and from 30 days before arrival, 100% of your stay. Late arrival or early departure is also charged at 100%. In all other respects, the Austrian Hotel Regulations apply. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

Yes, daily housekeeping is included as standard. That way, you enjoy the freedom of an apartment with the service of a hotel.

Yes, you can redeem Glöcknerin vouchers here at the hotel, for example at reception when you check out. They can't be applied to online bookings, and they aren't valid at Restaurant Herzenslust, which is a separate business.

Hotel Glöcknerin combines the independence and space of a private apartment with the comforts of a hotel. Guests plan their days just as they like and can make use of hotel services such as breakfast, the wellness area and personal service from their hosts whenever it suits them. Daily housekeeping and the use of all hotel facilities are, of course, included.

Our large apartments sleep up to eight people. Larger groups can simply book several apartments in the hotel, although there are no connecting doors between them.

Hotel Glöcknerin offers fully equipped apartments and suites in a range of sizes, suitable for anything from couples to larger families or groups. The units feature separate sleeping and living areas as well as fully equipped kitchens – all with the full comfort of a hotel.

Every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with all the crockery and utensils you need, just no oven. There's also a Nespresso machine, and your first three capsules for a welcome coffee are on the house. You can get more at reception at any time. For hygiene reasons, we don't provide food staples such as salt, pepper, oil or sugar. And if you don't feel like cooking in the evening, Restaurant Herzenslust is right next door.

Yes, high-speed Wi-Fi is free for all guests.

Yes, we provide a cot and a high chair in your apartment free of charge. Just let us know when you book.

Yes, dogs are welcome. We charge €30 per day, and in return your four-legged friend gets a premium dog bed, food and water bowls and a little treat. Please let us know about your dog when you book.

Yes. It’s around 30 metres from the ski room to the slope, where you click into your skis. The Kehrkopfbahn, a four-seater chairlift, takes you straight onto the Tauernrunde. To get back, take the Monte Flu chairlift and ski down blue runs to the hotel.

Yes, in the ski room every apartment has its own lockable locker. The lockers are heated, so your ski boots are dry and warm the next morning. From the ski room, you step straight out onto the slope.

Yes, Sport Gloria ski hire and the CSA Grillitsch ski school office are right here in the hotel, so you can sort out equipment and lessons without any detours.

Thanks to its high altitude of between 1,630 and 2,313 metres, Obertauern is considered one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in Austria. The winter season usually starts at the end of November and reliably runs into May.

Yes. Obertauern is one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in the Alps, and in March the slopes are usually in top condition. On top of that, the days are long and bright.

In the morning the snow is firm and grippy, around midday it softens. Start early for the best runs, then spend the afternoon in the sun.

Yes, the breakfast buffet until 10:30 am is included in all our rates. If you'd rather have breakfast in your apartment, you can ask for our bread roll service. And if you don't want breakfast at all, simply book without it.

Right next to the hotel is our à la carte restaurant, Herzenslust, where the menu includes game from our own hunting grounds. It's best to book your table early at reception.

The hotel has its own wellness area with relaxation rooms, saunas, an indoor pool and a giant water slide, all with views of Obertauern’s mountain scenery. It offers guests a peaceful retreat after a day on the slopes.

The indoor pool is open from 9 am to 10 pm, and the spa area with its saunas from 3 pm to 8 pm.

The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna, bowling alley and bar, so even a day without sun turns out well.

Yes. Our apartments offer families plenty of space. The ski rental and ski school are located right inside the hotel, and the ski school’s practice area and children’s magic carpet are just outside the door. That keeps distances short and makes everyday logistics easy. For time off the slopes, there is a children’s playroom, a teen room and a water slide.

We don't offer childcare, your time here belongs to you as a family. The hotel does have an indoor pool with a water slide and a playroom.

The ski school office is right here in the hotel, so you can sign the children up without any detours. Lessons either start directly in front of the hotel, or the ski school bus picks the children up and brings them back afterwards.

Yes. Our apartments give groups of friends plenty of space to spend their holiday together, along with the freedom to plan their stay just the way they like. When travelling as a group, the independence and flexibility of an apartment are ideal – complete with hotel comforts and space for everyone to retreat when they need it.

The hotel has a bowling alley, a bar with quiz nights and the Herzenslust restaurant. You can book the bowling alley and a table at the restaurant at reception.

Hotel Glöcknerin is located at the entrance to the winter sports resort of Obertauern in the Salzburg region of Austria. Set at an altitude of around 1,740 metres, it offers direct access to the Obertauern ski area and sits right on the Kehrkopfbahn ski slope.

Coming from the north, take the A10 Tauern motorway to the Radstadt exit (63), then follow the B99 up to Obertauern. The Glöcknerin sits at the northern entrance to the village, so you're here as soon as you reach the top.

Coming from the south, leave the A10 at St. Michael im Lungau (exit 104) and drive via Mauterndorf to Obertauern.

There's room for every car in our hotel garage, and parking is free. You'll find EV charging points in the garage and outside the hotel. You'll need a vignette for the A10, and winter tyres are compulsory in Austria in wintry conditions.

The nearest railway station is Radstadt. From there, the bus takes you up to Obertauern, and the Wenigeralm stop is right by the hotel.

If you travel by public transport, the Mobility Ticket covers buses and trains throughout the whole province of Salzburg. We're happy to send it to you before you arrive. If you'd rather be picked up, we can arrange a taxi for you at an extra charge.

The nearest airport is Salzburg, where Busreisen Bacher runs a transfer service to Obertauern.

Alternatively, take the train to Radstadt and continue by bus. We can also arrange a taxi from the airport for you at an extra charge.

It's around a 30-minute walk to the village centre along a lit pavement. If you'd rather not walk, hop on the bus at the Wenigeralm stop right by the hotel. Obertauern also has an excellent taxi service, and we're happy to call one for you at reception.
